Information: BJS Stud Cattle consists of 100 Red Angus comprising breeding females, replacement heifers and bulls. My stud has been running for 10 years and is really starting to make its mark on the industry with unique Canadian bloodlines. We have focussed on feet and leg structure and good maternal power in our females which is real being demonstrated in our herd. This year we will be welcoming Fish Creek Farms Speckle Parks to display on our farm for people to see a new up and coming breed.

Information: Callista Park Belgian Blues are bred with the commercial producer in mind. We select bloodlines with a short gestation that produce low birth weight calves. In addition to our stud we have a vealer herd. Our vealers are carcase competition winners and market toppers. We also have a meat business, so we know our calves are very high yielding with exceptional eating quality. The emerging Asian market is paying a premium for our commercial Belgian Blues, making the breed more relevant than ever before. Working age bulls for sale on the day. Information: Hazel Dell Simmentals has been breeding and selling cattle for almost 30 years. We've sold bulls, semen, embryos and females throughout Australia and overseas. We have 30 traditional stud Simmental breeders and 60 black Simmental breeders plus a large commercial herd using our own Simmental bulls. On the day we'll have a selection of Simmental and black Simmental bulls and some select females. The Open Day is on the property of John Langley's South Kolora Herefords which is also managed by Scott Andersen. Our Black Simmentals bulls are proven to be easy calving, low birth weights and excellent for use over heifers.

Information: Jan and Geoff Coghill commence the Ke Warra Poll Hereford stud with foundation stock from Jan's family's Hilandale stud in 2003. Initially leading AI sires were used and in recent times Allendale Robin Hood and Days Brigadier were purchased together with the Hetherington Park Stud. Ke Warra has enjoyed success and local shows and entered RASV for the first time in 2016. The two bulls exhibited each won and Ke Warra Albatross was Grand Champion Hereford Bull; both bulls will be among the animals on display.

This years bull line up is 8 of the most magnificent animals varying in ages from 14 months to 26 months. Woonallee Jetstream bulls are now available and Woonallee Tornado bulls are also for sale ect ect. This year we will also be offering some of our prized females for sale. Light lunch and refreshments will be available from 12pm with seating under our new marquee which will protect against all weather. Information: Founded in 1950, this 100 cow herd has been managed by three generations of the Meikle family. These cattle have been bred to produce sound, marketable breeding stock for commercial herds. A Breedplan performance recorded herd with scanning information on the 2017 sale bulls and heifers. As regular competitors in the Farm World steer trials, the Tarwin steers routinely have weight gains in the top 25% and results include a win for 2010 in the heavy steer category. On display will be the cow and calf herd, unjoined heifers, plus sale bulls for 2017. Sires used include, Allendale Robin Hood D194, Wagga Hercules, Mount Difficult Kenneth K76, Kerlson Pines Dynamic, Days Director H202 and Days Brigadier G101 (AI) . All sale bulls will have been vaccinated against Pestivirus, Leptospirosis, and Vibriosis and with 7 in 1 vaccine.
